Child Safeguarding Expert is the new SOS Children's Village Director in Iloilo

Child Safeguarding expert Jedd NiƱofranco is formally installed as Village Director of SOS Children’s Village Iloilo on April 8, 2024.

SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines National Director and CEO Ramon Lee Cualoping III led Auntie Jedd’s formal installation, as Mothers, Aunts, Co-Workers, children and youth participants gathered to welcome her to the village.

 

 

Having received a degree in Social Work from Bicol University, Auntie Jedd is also a Registered Social Worker, with more than seven years’ experience in the development sector.

 

 

In 2018, she joined SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines as Social Worker for the children’s village in Manila. She also served as Child Safeguarding Consultant, and later on, National Child Safeguarding Coordinator.

 

 

ND Cualoping, in his message, underscored the importance of strengthening the SOS Care Promise to the Ilonggo children and youth, saying that their individual development plans must be monitored to ensure a sustainable future for the program participants.

 

 

Also present in the ceremony were HR and Administration Director Margarita Geordia Soldevilla, SOS Children’s Village Davao Director Leonilo Rivero and SOS Children’s Village Cebu Director Mario Victor Baang. They will also serve as mentors of Auntie Jedd.

 

 

SOS Children’s Village Iloilo was established in 2004 in the town of Zarraga, and has since provided quality family-like care for Filipino children and youth who have lost parental care.

 

SOS Children’s Villages in the Philippines persistently advances a more robust mission of providing a nurturing home and giving hope a chance to every Filipino children and youth.
