SOS Children’s Village in Manila ends Light a Village and Christmas Cantata with a blast

Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City – Last January 10, 2018, SOS Children’s Village in Manila’s Light a Village and Christmas Cantata ended with a farewell and thanksgiving event for their donors and fervent partners who continuously and passionately support them such as InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Thome Group. 

Girls from SOS Children’s Village in Davao Competes in the Rugby Asian Qualifiers for the 2018 Youth Olympics

December 1 2017 : 

December 01, 2017 – 3 girls from SOS Children’s Village in Davao namely Angelie Krista Hifume, Angela Jessa Hifume and Diana Cosare competed as members of the U17 Philippine National Girls Rugby Team – Lady Volcanoes in the Asian Qualifiers for the 2018 Youth Olympics at Dubai Sports City, United Arab Emirates last November 29 to November 30.

SOS CHILDREN AND YOUTH EMPOWERED BY YELLOW CAB THROUGH FOOTBALL

Last November 11, 2017, Yellow Cab in partnership with local football club Kaya FC, through the Yellow Cab Football Cup, donated one hundred thousand pesos and football equipment to SOS Children’s Villages Philippines along with other chosen charities.

The 11th SOS Football Festival, themed, “All Together: Advocating Children’s Welfare and Development through Football,” gathered over 50 teams in Mindanao at the Davao Crocodile Park Football Field last October 21-22, 2017. It continues to realize every child’s potential and promote unity among various organizations in the community.

PLMun, St. Scho Students are 1st Batch of SOS Internship Program in 2017

June 27 2017 : 

June 22, 2017 – This June, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines welcomed the 1st batch of interns for the year 2017. Students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) and St. Scholastica's College-Manila (SSC-Manila) applied for their slots at the internship program as a requirement of their curriculum.

SOS Turns Over 79 Houses to Families Affected By Typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban

SOS Children’s Villages Philippines turned over 27 houses to the local governments of Tacloban City and 52 more in the municipality of Tanauan on May 11 and 12, 2017, respectively.
