SOS Children’s Village Bataan celebrates 15 years of Giving Hope a Chance

SOS Children’s Village Bataan, the youngest of the children’s villages in the country, celebrated its 15th anniversary with much gratitude and merriment as the children, mothers, co-workers, and a few invited donors and partners shared a wonderfully meaningful time together.

During the short program, the children and youth showcased their talents with their entertaining performances; while a few chosen SOS Mothers and co-workers expressed their gratitude both to the donors and to SOS Children’s Villages through the stories they shared.

Uncle Edelberto Rolle, the village director, gave a heartfelt speech and thanked SOS Children's Villages’ sponsors for their support, as well as his co-workers who remain steadfast in loving and caring for every child who has been a part of their family and community.

Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion, also present in the event, said: “Taos-pusong pasasalamat po sa SOS Children's Village sa inyong patuloy na pagsuporta sa mga programa ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Mariveles at sa pagmamahal at pag-aaruga sa mga batang Mariveleño upang sila'y mabigyan ng magandang kinabukasan at matupad ang kanilang mga pangarap sa buhay.” ("I sincerely thank SOS Children's Village for your continued support to the programs of the Municipal Government of Mariveles and for the love and care you provide for the Mariveleño children so that they can be have a bright future and fulfilled dreams in life .”)

SOS Children’s Villages National Director Ramon Lee Cualoping III, SOS Children’s Villages Board of Trustees (BOT) President Ma. Angeles Guanzon-Lapeña, Dr. Godofredo Galicia Jr., Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, Councilor Susan Murillo, MCPC Consultant Roselle Fernandez, and several School Principals also joined the celebration.

The celebration ended with a short but inspiring message from Uncle Ramon, “There are a lot of challenges, but our mission stays the same. Our mission for our children and youth and for the families in the communities will continue. That’s why all of us here will always make a way to provide the service, the love and care that our children and youth should have.”

Let us provide family-like care and love to Filipino children in need and give them a bright future that they deserve. We continue giving hope a chance!
