Legal Consultant

Willing to work in Muntinlupa.

  • Shall act as independent and impartial third person in handling legal matters for the organization.
  • Process and manage past and current cases relevant to settling legal disputes
  • Coordinate closely with the Board of Trustees, SOS National Management Team, and Village Directors.

 

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Laws-Juris Doctor, or preferably a lawyer
  • At least one (1) year working experience in a law firm or a government organization
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Preferably with training related to mediation
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Can produce quality reports punctually

Finance Director

Willing to work in Muntinlupa

The Finance Director exists to lead the overall finance strategy and provide oversight of all accounting and operational activities of the organization in accordance with Philippine statutes, SOS-KDI standards, and auditing standards.

  • Actively engage and contribute to the development and review of the organization‘s finance strategy, policies, procedures and approaches
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations & laws, as well as SOS internal policies and guidelines
  • Ensures strict adherence to tracking, handling and handling of restricted funds
  • Ensures that the appropriate vision and processes are in place to ensure the long-term financial viability and health of the organization and provide sound financial advice to Management and Board of Trustees including the financial consequences of proposed actions.
  • Custodian of finance policies and processes and standard operating procedures and manuals. Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate risk management techniques and financial controls are embedded throughout the organization at strategic and operational levels.
  • Develops and implement goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
  • Collaborates on Grants Management
  • Coordinates shared services to other departments and project locations.
  • Establish system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
  • Adheres to and upholds the standards and principles of Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct

 

  • Membership with Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants is required.
  • Work experience with children and youth in child development in an international NGO is an advantage.
  • At least ten years of working experience in Finance, three to five years of which in leadership capacity
