Scott Bader, Pediapharma, and Task Us sponsors 46 scholars

Last school year 2018-2019, Scott Bader, Pediapharma, and Task Us sponsored the education of 46 SOS children and beneficiaries. These companies partnered with SOS Children’s Villages Philippines to provide scholarships to children and youth in need of financial assistance. They have supported SOS Philippines in its mission to give children their right to education for years now – Pediapharma for 4 years, Scott Bader for 2 years, and TaskUs for over a year – and their support is now making a huge difference in children’s lives.

Soon-to-be SOS Mother Auntie Maribel cares for 50 more children

By July this year, Auntie Maribel will be inducted as the new mother of House 3 in SOS children’s village in Manila as Mama Alma sets to retirement. But being a mother is not something new to Auntie Maribel because she herself is already a mother of four! Now that she is an SOS mother-to-be, surely more children will be calling her “Mama”, and that will never be a problem for auntie.

Women empowerment in the Philippines has since continued to improve from 1937 when women were given the full right to vote and be part of the decision-making in the country. Laws promoting women’s rights were implemented such as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (R.A. 9262), and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law (R.A. 7877).

Muntinlupa City, Philippines (March 26, 2019) – Josef Werker, the 27-year old Managing Director of Penbrothers, is the newest addition to the goodwill ambassadors of SOS Children’s Villages Philippines.  

Ono school's first batch of students finishes Japanese class by May 2019

March 4 2019 : 

By the end of May 2019, fifteen (15) SOS Children’s Villages Philippines beneficiaries will be finishing the 10-month Japanese class granted by Onocom Co. The scholars are provided quality Japanese classes for the opportunity to work in Japanese firms both in the Philippines and in Japan.

SOS Youth Conducts a Corporate Immersion at TaskUs BGC

Jay and Benedict are both calmly looking out the window, opposite from the busy morning rush they see outside. They were on their way to TaskUs at Bonifacio Global City early morning of December 27 along with their SOS brothers and sisters to conduct their corporate immersion and career orientation.
