SOS Youth Graduates Magna Cum Laude From University Of Southern Philippines Foundation
Last March 24, 2018, Jerson G. Naya, an SOS youth, graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation.
Jerson joined the graduation march proudly alongside his SOS Children’s Villages family—Mama Fe Saclot, his SOS mother, and Uncle Dong Baang, Village Director of SOS Children’s Village in Cebu, who were extremely proud of him. Graduated with Jerson, also with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work, is Darling Cloie Gemina who was accompanied by retired SOS mother, Rosalina Saraspe.
Through this milestone, Jerson proved that achievement and success derive from hard work and perseverance. He cannot be more grateful to those who supported him and rooted for him to achieve his goals and dreams in life.
Now, as his way of giving back to his SOS Children’s Villages family and the community, he will be joining the Summer Youth Camp spearheaded by the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children (CCTFSC) that will be held this April at Badian Cebu wherein he will serve as a mentor to the group of young facilitators formed by the SOS Family Care head, June Layao. He hopes to inspire young people like him to keep on dreaming big, keep on working hard for that dream and trust that all their hard work will pay off, too.
This coming May, he plans to prepare for the Civil Service and Licensure Board Examinations as his first step in attaining his dreams. His whole SOS Children Villages family wishes him all the best of luck in his journey and will always be there to back him up.
Congratulations and good luck to Jerson Naya, our magna cum laude, as you move toward the next chapter of your life.
